"Telepathy"

Telepathy

In my head

A pale face grins.

Blue eyes smile

And again you win.

"Come to me now,"

My spirit hears.

"I'll meet you there."

"Yes, my Dear."

Say its me you miss

And I'll send you a kiss.

I'll tell you a joke

To lighten your yoke.

Don't ever leave me,

But if you do,

Leave your laughter

To see me through.

"The Music of Life"

The Music of Life

I hear life's music in the wind and the breeze.

It fills me with anticipation

As it rustles the trees.

I smell the green grasses

When in Spring it grows.

Just another sign of how life flows.

I feel the warm sunshine upon my skin.

I hear the sound of waves on the beach rolling in.

The sand is wet and little sandcrabs scatter.

They play with my toes and run when I move.

It's great to feel free and in life's groove.

The flowers are blooming and I pick one to smell.

"What a wonderful day," I to myself tell.

Why are you sleeping?

Come with me.

Let's play in the meadow.

Let's climb a tree.

Can you hear the birds singing?

Aren't you excited

To know you're alive

And part of the Earth?

Let's pick the clovers and make a necklace.

Let's celebrate.

Spring is here.

Taste the honey and love me, Dear.

"Bed of Nails"

Bed of Nails

Life is like a bed of nails.
Just about the time you think you can rest,
Someone comes along and steals your nest.
Just about the time you think you'll make it,
Someone comes along to take it.
And when you think you can slow down a bit,
Someone brings you a load of 'shit'!
Then you think you've found "The One"
Just to find out it was just for fun.

Why is it always true
That trouble seems to stick like glue?
And no matter what you do
It inevitably comes back to you.
So never sleep too long or too sound.
Trouble's always hanging 'round.
Stay alert and sleep light.
Always be ready to fight.
Don't move too fast or too slow.
Just be ready to go!

"Snowdancer"

Snowdancer

Snowflakes blow in a sky of gray
As the snowdancer dances her cares away.
Whirling and twirling in a sea of white,
Warm breath escapes her lips,
Dancing and slowly moving her hips.
Up above a snowbird flies
Over the trees into dark skies.
The air is quiet.
The pines are green
Bowing low in this snowy scene.
The snowdancer's heart beats faster and faster,
Moving and swaying on a floor of alabaster.
Music floats on cool, clean air.
The man of her dreams is somewhere out there.
Sparkling flakes cling to her gown
And decorate her hair of brown.
Arms outstretched as if in flight,
The snowdancer spins into the night.
The snowdancer spins into the night.

"Because"

Because

Because God knew me before I was born,
And knew someday I'd be forlorn,
Because He saw down deep in my heart,
And knew I'd finally be a part.

A part of His hand,
A part of His ears,
A part of His land,
And a part of His tears.

I see His eyes strong but kind
Making me content inside my mind.
I know somehow He is near.
Wherever I go
His voice I hear.

Whispering hope and wiping my eyes,
And promising to meet me
Someday in the skies.

"Stand Up!"

Stand Up!

Don't give up.
Don't wave the white flag.
Don't give in.
What a shame!
What a sin!

Those in power are afraid of you.
You're afraid too.
Don't let courage melt in the face of fear,
Else no one will hear.

Its a cruel fate
To realize too late
You were right all along.
Don't think twice.
Sing your fight song.

Get in tune
And do it soon.
Don't worry about a thing.
Jump on the train
And speak plain.

Tell the truth in your youth.
You still have time.
"Face the fear and do it anyway."
Who cares what others say!

Its your life.
Face the strife.
If you're wrong,
Forget it.
But if you're right,
Fight!
You'll never regret it.

"Drastic Measures"

Drastic Measures

Sometimes you have to take drastic measures.
Sometimes you have to say hard words
To get the point across,
To save love,
To save the world,
To avoid the loss.

Sometimes fear is the mirror of the hot blood that flows
In a bulging vein,
In a throbbing brain,
In the black hearts that reign.

Sometimes we have to look,
Have to see,
Have to realize the dangers to you and me.
To save the birds,
The air and the trees.
To be free to drink,
To eat and to breathe.

You have to face the monsters,
You have to fight the kings,
You have to expose the truth
That money spent on weapons brings.
